In the 21st century, a good website is not only necessary but expected. A website today is just like business cards and brochures from yesteryear – you can’t run a professional business without one.

Here’s a story from my own experience.

A few years ago, I was writing some website copy for a client. Not long after completing the copy (which he loved), he said something that changed my entire outlook on doing business with magicians:

“I want you to build the site. I trust you to bring your words to life on my site.”

I’d built a few of my own sites, of course. But I’d never built one for a client before.

So I weeded through a ton of videos. Most were overly complicated, trying to teach me everything I needed to know to build an e-commerce business.

Or other ‘gurus’ teaching how to build websites…in markets that had nothing to do with magic or entertainment.

Still, I pieced together the knowledge to build my client’s site.

Then he wanted another. And other magicians wanted me to build their sites.

For your new website, you’ll need an SSL certificate. SSL stands for “Secure Sockets Layer.”

It’s the little locked padlock symbol on your site’s URL. Or you’ll see “https” instead of “http.”

SSL certificates are there to keep your site secure. That way, when people contact you through your site, their personal information is safe.

And without a valid SSL certificate, your site won’t even show on some browsers.

Or viewers will see a big “warning” sign pop up, warning them not to go to your site.

So yeah, SSL certificates are a big deal. And I still see a ton of magicians’ sites without SSL certificates.

Many popular hosting platforms charge you over $100 per year to install an SSL certificate on your site.

But the one I use? Your SSL certificate is free. Nada. Zero. Zilch.

It’s all included in the platform I use.

And no, I do NOT get any kind of referral fee or incentive from this company. I just like it a lot.

I debated what to charge for this training.

Like I said, I actually prefer to build the websites myself. But I know not every magician can afford my fees.

I routinely charge between $1000-$3000 to build websites.

And my sites look good. (Here are a few examples HERE, HERE, and HERE.)

Each was built with the skills you’ll get in this course…nothing more.

So, what to charge…after all, there’s a lot of free info out there.
