Want to book Shows in an Untapped Market? Read on...

What If There Was a Virtually Wide-Open Profitable Market With Prospects Eager to Book Fun Magic Shows?

Dear Friend,

Would you be interested in a market where you can perform profitable magic shows for great fees...

...with far LESS competition than other markets popular with magicians?

Let me tell you a story...

I was on the phone recently speaking with a prospect.

“But we don’t want that. We want something FUN!” she said.

listened in amazement. I had spent the last few minutes on the phone telling this prospect about my educational show topics.

“So you want a ‘just for fun’ show?” I asked.

“Yes,” she replied. “Something that will really captivate the kids!”

“Well, I can certainly do that!” I assured her.

“And you are good with that age group?”

“Yes,” I promised. “It’s one of my favorite audiences!”

With that, she told me she would check with other area schools, check their budget, and get back to me.

I had quoted her a whopping $2,100 for one measly show. The show was a couple of hours outside of my normal travel zone.

But she never blinked and never hesitated.

And she did not even want an educational show.

If you’re not a regular school show performer, you know that an educational program has a much higher perceived value.

Yet she accepted my fee immediately and without comment.

Why? Simple.

This market is severely underserved by magicians in my opinion.

And schools are finding out that their out-of-school field trips are getting more expensive. Think about it.

When schools bus their kids to a location for a field trip, there are logistics to think about.

There is bus service itself. Insurance. Parental permission slips. And on and on.

But with an incoming field trip? Like an assembly presenter?

The costs and logistics are much lower.

That’s more opportunity if you want the work.

Back to the whole ‘underserved market’ thing.

Many magicians are attracted to markets where there is a dump truck full of competition. Children’s birthdays., Corporate holiday parties. Elementary school assemblies. Those are prime examples.

And while I have done extremely well in many of the oversaturated markets, I like to explore the underserved.

The market? Middle schools.

Most magicians I know of either don’t like this market or don’t approach it the right way.

These magicians do one of two things:

1. Perform their elementary school-level show for middle schools or
2. Avoid the market.

After 20 years of performing in this market, I can assure you that with the right show, they’ll love you.

Now here’s the thing.

The market---that is, the kids—requires a show with finesse.

Walk in for your typical birthday show (silks, wands, change bags) and the kids will eat you alive.

This market requires a delicate touch

Or if you walk in with your corporate mentalism show, they’ll get restless, and you’ll lose them.

You need to straddle that line. Mental magic. A hint of geek tricks. Bizarre magic without blood.

And even the folks hiring you know that sometimes this age group is challenging.

Late last year, a long-time school client hired me. In years past he booked me to perform my hypnosis show for his high school students.

This time, he wanted me to do something for his middle schoolers.

His pitch went something like this:

“What can you do for a bunch of surly middle school kids?”

It was a rare opportunity to perform a just-for-fun show for middle schoolers. (Most of my middle school shows are educational---bullying, character ed, etc.)

This was an opportunity to just have fun. Of course, I jumped at the chance.

I taped both shows: one for grades 5-6 and one for grades 7-8.

Since it was a ‘just-for-fun’ show, I decided to try some new material. To my delight, they loved it, meaning I got to expand my repertoire.

After the shows were over, I sat down in my office and watched them again.

I was so pleased I decided to offer these shows to you, dear reader.

Truthfully, you can spend years developing your own show for this market…

Or you can learn from a guy who’s been performing for this market for decades.

“The Complete, Uncut, Middle School Show Project.”

Watching these shows may convince you to give middle schools a shot. Or you may just be curious.

But I’m offering a LOT more than just copies of a show or two.

Instead, I sat down and recorded an audio commentary for each show.

Watch the shows first. Then watch the commentary., You’ll understand why I do what I do. I delve deep into my understanding of this market.

If you’re even the least bit curious about this market, you owe it to yourself to consider this offer.

Here’s a sample of what I cover during the shows and commentary:

• The NON-MAGICAL opener and closer I chose…and why.

• Staging and outfit suggestions for middle school audiences

• A critical MISTAKE I made with one routine and what I learned so it never happens again

• Why I got CHOKED UP at the conclusion of the first show (Yes, really!)

• How to avoid misinterpreting middle school reactions

• Mixing magic with ‘soft’ mentalism in the same show

• Easy ways to empower your volunteers

• My character approach to this market and why it works

• Why simple, non-sleight of hand works best for this market

• How to add Bizarre magic to the show without offending the teachers and faculty

• And much more

And don’t worry, most of my props for this show are very affordable. There is one expensive book test I used, but you can easily swap out a more economical book test.

Everything fits comfortably in my Lefler table with room to spare

Note: This was not a professional shoot. We used the lighting available in the school auditorium. So I definitely look ‘orange’ under their lights on camera.

But it’s certainly good enough. And my wireless headset mic means you can hear everything.

Just don’t expect an L&L shoot.

What to charge?

Because this show is based on my considerable experience, I thought of charging accordingly.

That gig was about 2.5 hours away from my house. For both shows, I was paid $1500 total. Depending on where you are in your career, that might be a little or a lot.

But you’re not going to pay that amount.

My original price for this product was going to be a paltry $297.

Today you’re not going to pay that price.

Because I want to encourage as many magicians as possible to at least consider middle schools, I'm making this project easily affordable.

Instead of $297, the investment for these videos is just $97.
